Casual Minibus Driver (part time)

(term time only) £8.07 per hour with an additional holiday pay element of £0.97 per hour:
total hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay is therefore £9.04 (pay award pending).

We are seeking a suitably experienced person to drive school sports teams and occasionally other student groups to other schools in Sussex and some wider SE locations for after school fixtures in the school minibus. The majority of the transport will be required in the afternoon from 2 pm. The time commitment will depend on the schedule of matches, prior notice will be given, but the successful candidate will need to be flexible. The successful candidate will work alongside a teacher at all times. 

This job is open to applicants aged 25+ who have held a full licence for at least 4 years.  

The successful candidate must have a clean current driving licence including at least category D1. Training is provided and you will be required to undertake and pass a short qualification to gain a Minibus Driver Permit.  If you already hold a Minibus Driver Permit with West Sussex you will not be required to retake the qualification until expiry.  Experience in a similar role or working with young people would be advantageous.  You will be well organised and an excellent timekeeper with great interpersonal skills.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES 

Warden Park Secondary Academy has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to work with a range of learners who have a learning/additional support need and require a reader/scribe during examinations and to support assessment work.Full training to provide this support to their learners will be provided.  

Volunteers should have a good academic ability, preferably with previous experience working with young people or within education, and appreciate the importance of confidentiality. 

Volunteers will be asked to complete and return a Warden Park Support Staff application form (see below) and also provide the names and full contact details (including email addresses) of two professional referees.  All successful volunteers will also be subject to a Health Assessment.
