Student VOICE

The Student Voice is made up of students from all year groups and is led by the Student Senior Team. We meet every month to discuss an agenda made up of student and staff led items. Agenda items and the key points from meetings are shared with the student body in assemblies by the Senior Team. Staff receive minutes of the points discussed. Students take the lead on discussing matters with individual members of staff as appropriate to enable them to feedback to the group on ongoing matters.

Examples of the themes discussed include:

  • What makes the best lessons?
  • Homework - what’s going well? How can it be improved?
  • iPads and digital technology - how are they being used to support learning?
  • Learning About Life - how can we develop this curriculum area?
  • The LRC - what do you like? How can it be improved?
  • Curriculum Structure and options? What’s working? What’s not? How can it be improved?

Students who want to submit agenda items can do so via their year group reps, their tutors or by emailing Ms Simmons
