Year 10 Revision and Coursework After School Provision Autumn 2016

You're going to enjoy Year 10!

You are going to find it hard work, because year 10 is serious. You have chosen your options, so you are doing what you want to be doing. You have a well balanced, interesting and exciting range of subjects ahead of you. Challenge yourself fully and get stuck in!

Being organized is essential: use of your i-Pad and consistent access to  SMHW will help you to stay organised. Treat both of them as good friends. In addition, do not forget that your parents will also be good friends with SMHW as they can access your homework schedule to ensure that you are keeping up to speed.

In terms of independent study, you will get one hour per week of Maths, English and Double Science, a fortnightly two hour task in History and Business Studies, two forty five minute tasks per fortnight in Geography, and a homework task of one hour per week in all other subjects. Now you see why I said that SMHW was going to be your friend!

Your parents will receive information home from your teachers once every half term, informing you of both your progress in every subject, and in your attitude to learning in that subject. Prizes will be awarded in the form of badges, certificates and phone calls home for those of you who are doing well. Those who are doing less well can expect interventions to be put in place in order to try and help them improve. No stone is left un-turned by the year 10 team in order for you to achieve and, hopefully, surpass your potential.

I feel an immense amount of pride in being part of the Warden Park community, and I would like you to feel the same. I expect you all to take pride in what you do. Pride in your efforts, pride in your appearance, and pride in your behaviour around the school. You have responsibilities to yourself and to others; we will ensure that you handle those responsibilities in a mature and motivated manner.
