At Warden Park Academy, safeguarding is our highest priority. Our approach is rigorously aligned with current legislation and government guidance, including:

Our core safeguarding priorities when working with children and young people are to:

Safeguarding encompasses every aspect of Academy life. This includes, but is not limited to, child protection, individual health care plans, health and safety, site security, safe conduct on school trips, and our comprehensive anti-bullying strategy.
The Academy benefits from a dedicated team of trained safeguarding leads. This team is overseen by Mr Sorrell, Deputy Headteacher and the Academy’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). The wider safeguarding team includes:

All Academy staff receive annual safeguarding and child protection update training, along with targeted training throughout the year. Staff are well-informed and confident in the procedures for reporting concerns.
