EXAMS INVIGILATOR

Warden Park Secondary Academy is looking to appoint a number of Exam Invigilators to join our existing team who can be available to work during our exam periods: 

  • Yr11 mock exams (November)
  • Yr10 internal tests (February)
  • during the GCSE final exam season in May and June and
  • practical exams throughout the year 

Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of our Examinations Officer and must be willing and able to follow multi-step instructions for each exam they are asked to invigilate.  Full training will be provided. 

This is a casual contract. The rate of pay for our Exam Invigilators is currently £10.01 per hour inclusive of holiday pay entitlement.  Candidates should note that there is no obligation for the Trust to offer you work or for you to accept it.

CLEANERS

Churchill Services are recruiting cleaning staff to join their committed cleaning team at Warden Park Secondary Academy, Cuckfield.

Shifts start at 4.00pm and finish 8.00pm Monday to Friday, term time only, with additional cleaning shifts during some of the school holidays. 

Applicants will be expected to deliver a high standard of cleaning.  An enhanced DBS check is required (carried out by Churchill).

Supply Teacher and Cover Supervisor opportunities  

Although we do not have any specific vacancies at present we are always interested in meeting people who are looking to return to teaching or working as part of a team covering lessons.

We have a well-established and highly effective team of Cover Supervisors who work closely with our students across all subjects to ensure they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. The cover team has a wide variety of previous experience and skills which are used across the Academy when not covering lessons. Consequently, every day is different and spent working with a wide range of colleagues and students, making this role particularly interesting. The majority of the team work between 2 and 3 days a week.

From time to time we also need supply teachers to cover longer term absence and for this we draw upon a small pool of teachers who know our systems and expectations. 

Our cover supervisors and supply teachers are extremely adaptable, organised and are able to work calmly often under pressure. They develop a good working knowledge of current ICT packages and digital learning and because of our commitment to developing our staff they regularly engage in a range of training activities. 

Cover and supply staff often find that the experience gained allows them to secure training opportunities (e.g. PGCE) or further advance their careers. 

Warden Park Secondary Academy is a significantly oversubscribed school demonstrating the high regard with which it is held in the local community.  Our students are committed and hard-working and it is in no doubt that this is a very enjoyable place to work.
