DEPUTY SENCO TLR 2C

Full time, permanent, required for 1st September 2024 . 

Pay scale: SLT1-9 (TMS equivalent) £30,000 - £46,525 per annum plus TLR2c £7,847

These are exciting times for Warden Park as we will be moving our entire SEND base into a newly built facility in Spring 2025. This is happening in order to incorporate an expansion in the number of students in our Special Support Centre which has a focus on supporting children with social and communication needs. We also have a thriving range of alternative provision e.g Forest School and angling.

FACULTY LEADER EXPRESSIVE & PERFORMING ARTS

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is innovative and enthusiastic to join and lead our newly created faculty of Expressive and Performing Arts which encompasses Art, Drama, Dance, and Music. We are well resourced with a newly created performance space nearing the end of a total renovation and refit. Across the academy we have a very strong focus on staff development and training. The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant team that is characterised by excellence and a passion for the arts and, in this role, the Faculty Leader will have oversight, across the arts,  of all aspects of curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment and extra-curricular provision and community liaison, supporting the Leadership team to ensure: 

  • a high quality cohesive curriculum;

  • high standards of teaching and learning; 

  • excellent preparation, implementation of GCSE content and assessment, ensuring all pupils achieve their potential;

  • that an expressive and performance arts dynamic permeates the academy. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • be an innovative and dedicated classroom practitioner of at least one of the elements of expressive and performing arts (Art, Drama, Dance and Music), with a record of raising standards and driving progress. The ability to teach Drama to a high standard would be an advantage. 

  • have outstanding interpersonal skills with experience of leading a team;

  • be relentless in their commitment to the success of all those that they teach;

  • be a team player who thrives on working collaboratively with colleagues.

For non-teachers the pay scale is: SLT Grade I/J £33,024 - £37,336 fte (part time applications may be considered)

EXAM INVIGILATORS

Warden Park Secondary Academy is looking to appoint a number of Exam Invigilators to join our existing team who can be available to work during our exam periods:

● Yr11 mock exams (November)
● Yr10 internal tests (February)
● during the GCSE final exam season in May and June and
● ad hoc exams throughout the year 

Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of our Examinations Coordinator and must be willing and able to follow multi-step instructions for each exam they are asked to invigilate. Full training will be provided.

This is a casual contract and any hours worked are claimed on an Academy Claim Form. The rate of pay for our Exam Invigilators is currently £12.88 per hour inclusive of holiday pay entitlement. Candidates should note that there is no obligation for the Trust to offer you work or for you to accept it.
