The key role of a Cover Supervisor is to work closely with our students across a range of subjects and to ensure they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. Candidates will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills for this rewarding role and be relentless in their commitment to the success of all our students.
The ability to work calmly and often under pressure is essential. A good working knowledge of current ICT packages is required and previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. However, we have a strong commitment to developing our staff so you can also expect to engage in a range of training activities. As such this is an excellent preparation for anyone considering a career in either teaching or supporting students’ learning.

We are seeking a suitable experienced person to safely support and drive the academy’s students to and from sports fixtures and other occasional events. The majority of the transport will be required in the afternoon from 2pm. The role involves driving school sports teams and occasionally other student groups to other schools in Sussex and some wider SE locations for after school fixtures in the school minibus. The time commitment will depend on the schedule of matches, prior notice will be given, but the successful candidate will need to be flexible. The successful candidate will work alongside a teacher at all times.
This job is open to applicants aged 25+ who have held a full licence for at least 4 years.
The successful candidate must have a clean current driving licence including at least category D1. Training is provided and you will be required to undertake and pass a short qualification to gain a Minibus Driver Permit. If you already hold a Minibus Driver Permit with West Sussex you will not be required to retake the qualification until expiry. Experience in a similar role or working with young people would be advantageous. You will be well organised and an excellent timekeeper with great interpersonal skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Science Technician to join our thriving Science Department and friendly technician team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be responsible for maintaining the general safety and cleanliness of laboratories, preparation areas and science stores.
To keep up to date with current health and safety recommendations.
To prepare and deliver lesson materials, including assembling equipment, preparation of solutions and the making of simple apparatus.
To clear materials after use including restocking of solutions, cleaning glassware and disposing of any waste according to guidelines.
To undertake basic maintenance and simple repairs to equipment.
To work efficiently to ensure practical requests are met and any operational guidelines or safety information is given to teachers when necessary.
To undertake training to update knowledge and skills as required.
Working with teachers and the technician team to develop/trial new practical activities.
Training will be provided, but experience of working in a laboratory environment and a Science qualification,would be an advantage.

Warden Park Secondary Academy is looking to appoint a number of Exam Invigilators to join our existing team who can be available to work during our exam periods:
Yr11 mock exams (November)
Yr10 internal tests (February)
during the GCSE final exam season in May and June and
ad hoc exams throughout the year
Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of our Examinations Coordinator and must be willing and able to follow multi-step instructions for each exam they are asked to invigilate. Full training will be provided.
This is a casual contract and any hours worked are claimed on an Academy Claim Form. The rate of pay for our Exam Invigilators is currently £13.63 per hour inclusive of holiday pay entitlement. Candidates should note that there is no obligation for the Trust to offer you work or for you to accept it.
