Cover Supervisor

Required ASAP

Permanent post, 19.5 hours (3 days) per week, term time only. 

SLT support payscale grade D, pro rata of £25,583 - £26,403 fte  

(actual starting salary £11,273.92 - £11,635.27 based on 19.5 hours per week)

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident and skilled Cover Supervisor to join our team of professionals as soon as possible. The key role of a Cover Supervisor is to work closely with our students across a range of subjects and to ensure they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher.  Candidates will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills for this rewarding role and be relentless in their commitment to the success of all our students. 

 

The ability to work calmly and often under pressure is essential.   A good working knowledge of current ICT packages is required and previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. However, we have a strong commitment to developing our staff so you can also expect to engage in a range of training activities. As such this is an excellent preparation for anyone considering a career in either teaching or supporting students’ learning.

Exam Invigilators

Warden Park Secondary Academy is looking to appoint a number of Exam Invigilators to join our existing team who can be available to work during our exam periods:

  • Yr11 mock exams (November)

  • Yr10 internal tests (February) 

  • during the GCSE final exam season in May and June 

  • ad hoc exams throughout the year

Successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of our Examinations Coordinator and must be willing and able to follow multi-step instructions for each exam they are asked to invigilate.  Full training will be provided. 

This is a casual contract and any hours worked are claimed on an Academy Claim Form.  The rate of pay for our Exam Invigilators is currently £12.65 per hour plus £1.53 holiday pay entitlement per hour.  Candidates should note that there is no obligation for the Trust to offer you work or for you to accept it.
