Teaching Assistant
1 x Permanent 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8.50am – 3.15pm), term time only
1 x Permanent up to 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8.50am – 3.15pm), term time only
1 x fixed term Maternity Cover from 9th September 2025 - 22nd May 2026 18 hours per week, term time only (3 days)*
*In the event that this date changes due to an early or delayed return to work by the postholder you will be given 8 weeks notice.
SLT pay grade C £24,027 - £24,404 per annum fte.
(Actual salary £16,334.36 - £16,590.66 based on 30 hours per week or £9,800.62 - £9,954.40 based on 18 hours per week)
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and successful Additional Learning Support team. The role involves working closely with our SEND/EHCP students across a range of subjects to support students’ learning in mainstream classes and in specific Intervention sessions.
This would include:

Supporting students to access lessons across the school;
-
Developing an understanding of the needs of the students you will be working with;

Building students’ self-esteem and confidence;
-
Monitoring, recording and reporting on student progress;
-
Working 1:1 or in small groups with students.
If you have a genuine passion for education, and a desire to make a positive difference, excellent organisation and communication skills and a friendly and professional manner then we would be interested to hear from you. The successful candidate will be able to establish a positive, supportive relationship with our more vulnerable students. They will be flexible and able to adapt both to the developing needs of the students and the requirements of the teacher and department. The ability to work calmly under pressure and a willingness to learn and work with our digital systems will be required.
First aid/diabetic experience is preferred but not essential.

Cover Supervisor

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident and skilled Cover Supervisor to join our team of professionals as soon as possible. The key role of a Cover Supervisor is to work closely with our students across a range of subjects and to ensure they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. Candidates will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills for this rewarding role and be relentless in their commitment to the success of all our students.
The ability to work calmly and often under pressure is essential. A good working knowledge of current ICT packages is required and previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage. However, we have a strong commitment to developing our staff so you can also expect to engage in a range of training activities. As such this is an excellent preparation for anyone considering a career in either teaching or supporting students’ learning.
