Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing the highest quality learning for all children.  We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated Class Teacher on a full time basis for a maternity cover.  The salary range is Teachers Main Scale to Upper Pay Scale.

  • Must have an ability to/interest in supporting the development of an area of teaching and learning across the school.

REQUIRED FROM: September 2021, initially fixed term for one academic year until July 2022
Support grade 4 £17,540 - £19,855 fte pro rata (actual starting salary £10,830 - £12,260 depending on qualifications and experience)

Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing the highest quality learning for all children and wishes to appoint a Y6 Special Needs Teaching Assistant. The post is for 27.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00).  The post is initially fixed term until July 2022. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with young children in an education setting and specialism knowledge and understanding of working with young children with challenging behaviour;
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the needs of young children, their development and the ways in which children learn;
  • Assist children on an individual basis, in small group and whole class work;
  • Explain tasks simply and clearly and foster independence;
  • Supervise children, and adhere to defined behaviour management policies;
  • Work with guidance, but under limited supervision;
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with others;
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills;
  • Reflect on and develop professional practice.

PASTORAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT

REQUIRED FROM: September 2021, permanent contract
Support grade 5 £18,772 - £21,884 fte pro rata (actual starting salary £13,698 - £15,969 depending on qualifications and experience)

Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing the highest quality learning for all children and is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Assistant. The post is for 32.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 15:30). 

The role involves supporting children both in and out of the classroom in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding.  The successful candidate will support learning, participation and inclusion by developing and maintaining effective and supportive mentoring relationships with children.  Their role will also be to remove barriers to learning, so that children can participate, learn and achieve their full potential.

Potential candidates should have the ability to establish and develop effective and supportive relationships with children, and have an understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs.  Previous experience of working with children, including children with additional needs, is essential to this role.
